On Thursday 6th June 2025, Queen’s University Belfast hosted the prestigious annual Blues Awards in the Whitla Hall, celebrating the dedication, talent, and success of the university’s top student-athletes across all sports. The event honours those who have excelled both on the field and in the classroom, embodying the values of excellence, leadership, and commitment. Rugby was proudly represented with twelve outstanding players receiving Blues Awards in recognition of their exceptional sporting achievements and academic dedication. Congratulations to Maebh Clenaghan (Medicine), Ruby Starrett (Music), Rory Telfer (History), James McKillop (Mathematics with Finance), Ryan Street (Medicine), Dan Green (Physical Education and Sport), Jack Murphy (Health, Physical Activity and Sports), Callum Florence (Criminology), Charlie Irvine (Medicine), Clarke Logan (Physical Education and Sport), Joe Hopes (Economics with Finance), and Ben McFarlane (Human Biology) on this well-deserved honour.
